Why use natural toiletries?
Today's world is filled with incredible inventions; from technology to the wondrous flexibility of plastics. The problem is, as much as our world has changed, our bodies have stayed the same. While the human body remains a miraculous enigma, there are many things we know about it. The most important thing we know is that it is organic and that it prefers that organic substances enter into it. When an inorganic chemical invades the body, the body has no idea what it is. The chemical is therefore sent to the liver, in hopes that it will be able to eliminate it. The problem is, there are so many chemicals that enter into the body (from our food, our toiletries, our air, our homes, etc.) that the liver is already severely over-burdened. Rather than eliminating chemicals from the body, most often the liver stores the chemical over-load in the adipose (fat) tissue of the body. This is why so many individuals have difficulty losing midline and lower body weight - the body recognizes the fact that it can't handle sending the chemical burden into the bloodstream as the fat is lost, so it holds onto it. As more and more chemicals are stored, there is a greater chance of this *burden* affecting someone's health. Therefore, it's very wise to find ways to eliminate as many toxins from your environment as possible. Using all natural personal care products is a very important step in this process, because we use them on a daily basis and most of them remain on the body. In addition, items like shampoo, conditioner and body soap are used during bathing, when the pores of the body are fully open. This offers a greater pathway for toxins to enter into the bloodstream. Some say that the increase in cost isn't worth it, but by reducing your chemical burden through the use of healthy skincare, body care and hair care products, you will greatly increase the quality of your health - there simply isn't a price you can put on good health! Therefore, purchasing quality, all natural toiletries is a wonderful investment toward a brighter, *healthier* tomorrow!
